We take advantage of the Limousin AOP apple season to make a very gourmet porridge! Sweet and subtly tangy, Limousin AOP apples are perfect for this recipe as they melt away when cooked for pure flavor enjoyment. Young and old can’t resist this porridge, so don’t wait a second and fly to the realm of gluttony thanks to the porridge with caramelized Limousin AOP apples!

To prepare this recipe, follow the steps below:

Porridge recipe with caramelized apples from LIMOUSIN AOP

2 per person


– 2 Limousine PDO apple
– 120 g oat flakes
– 200 ml of almond milk
– A few pecans
– 20 g of butter
– 3 pieces of brown sugar
– 20 ml of maple syrup


1. Mix ground oats and almond milk over low heat for 10 minutes.

2. When the oats absorb the milk well, add the pecans and set aside.

3. Peel the apple and cut it into cubes.

4. Melt butter in a pan and add apples. Add the brown sugar and let it caramelize for a few minutes.

5. Pour the porridge into bowls and top with caramelized apples.

6. Add a little maple syrup and garnish with pecans. Enjoy immediately!
