Gala, jazz, pink lady… it’s apple season. A fruit that is good for our health but also for our wallet. So here are four recipes to prepare it!

Apples have been back on the shelves of our markets for several weeks. And we have another good month to enjoy this fruit. Especially since apple is a food that gives us energy and we need it very much as it slowly comes to the fore. So, here are four easy-to-prepare and inexpensive recipes to make this fruit easy to prepare and enjoy!

Apple chocolate brownie

For 8 people:

  • 300 g of dark chocolate
  • 3 apples
  • 150 grams of flour
  • 200 g soft butter
  • 200 g of fine sugar
  • 30 g of vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • Bitter cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of fine salt

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Melt the chopped chocolate with the butter in a bain-marie. Beat eggs with sugar in a bowl. Add the melted chocolate and mix. Peel the apples and remove the core. Grind it on the robot. Add apples, flour and salt to the preparation, then mix well until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Grease the cake pan with butter. Pour the preparation inside and bake for about 20 minutes, checking for doneness. Sprinkle with cocoa, let cool, and then frost. Enjoy while still warm or cold.

Decomposition of an apple

For 6 persons:

  • 6 apples
  • 150 grams of flour
  • 150 g of brown sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 60 g of butter + nuts for the pan
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 orange

Peel the apples and cut them into large cubes. Caramelize the apple cubes in a pan with a little butter and a packet of vanilla sugar, add orange juice and a pinch of cinnamon and leave for a few minutes. In a bowl, mix flour, previously cut cold butter, sugar and a little salt with your fingers so that you get coarse semolina. Arrange the apples in a baking dish and cover with the top of the crumble. Top with small pieces of butter. Leave to cook for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.

Apple fondant

For 4 people:

  • 3 apples
  • 6 tablespoons of flour
  • 0.5 pack of baking powder
  • 1 piece of vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 blanks
  • 100 g of cottage cheese with 20% fat
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar

Peel the apples, core them and cut them into pieces. Cook them over low heat with a spoonful of sugar and a vanilla pod. Chop them roughly and leave to cool. Mix the whole eggs with the froma blanc and the remaining sugar. Add flour, baking powder and applesauce. Heat the oven. 6 (180°C). Beat the egg whites until the salt stiffens and add to the previous mixture. Pour the mixture into the gratin form and bake for 15 minutes. Serve warm or cold.

Fried apples with raisins and pine nuts

For 4 people:

  • 2 apples
  • 30 g of pine nuts
  • 40 g of raisins
  • 5 cl of port
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Melt the butter in a pan. Fry the pine nuts and raisins for 2 minutes. Add port and sugar, mix and boil for 1 minute. Wash and cut the apples in half, peel them gently. Place in a dish and decorate with the preparation. Bake the apples in the oven for 15 minutes. Serve hot.
