And although its origins are apparently unclear, the first spiral-shaped dessert was invented in Austria, long before the Christmas log recipe. Lighter, softer and crisper than the latter, the Vienna rolled strudel is also very easy to make. Add some crunchy nuts and your taste buds will be doubly satisfied. In addition, it delicately invites itself to the autumn menu!

Apple Strudel Cake Recipe Rolled Apple Cinnamon Nuts 2022

Ingredients:

120 g of golden raisins
3-4 golden apples
50 g butter/coconut
50 g of walnuts
6 tbsp. Sugar
6 tbsp. Bread crumbs
1 C. Cinnamon
6 sheets of phyllo dough
120 g of melted semi-salted butter
1 C. tablespoon rum (optional)

Preparation:

Soak grapes in hot water for 1 hour. Peel and dice the apples. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the walnuts, stir, then the apples. Cook for 4 minutes. Add sugar and raisins. Boil for 2-3 minutes until reserved. Mix bread grains with sugar and cinnamon. Spread melted butter on the phyllo dough, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and stack. Spread the apple on the bottom of the leaves, fold the sides, then roll everything up tightly. Before baking at 180° for 20 minutes, brush the Vienna roll with butter. Serve warm or cold with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream.

A recipe for Vienna roll with apples, bananas and almonds for the fall of 2022

Ingredients:

  • 3 apples
  • 50 g of butter/coconut oil
  • 100 g of raisins
  • 2 bananas
  • 50 g ground almonds
  • 1 C. ground cardamom
  • 6 tbsp. Sugar
  • 6 tbsp. Bread crumbs
  • 1 C. Cinnamon
  • 6 sheets of phyllo dough
  • 100 g of melted semi-salted butter

Preparation:

Soak grapes in hot water for 1 hour. Peel and dice the apples. Melt butter in a pan, add almonds, apples and cardamom. Mix and boil for 2-3 minutes and add sugar. Add the drained grapes and cook for a few more minutes. Remove from heat and set aside. Mix breadcrumbs, sugar and cinnamon. Brush the pasta sheets with melted butter, then sprinkle with the breadcrumbs. Then spread the chopped apple and banana on the lower part of the leaf. Fold in the sides, then roll tightly.
